Macie Wright

About Me

Macie Wright attends Gillespie High School and is involved in a variety of activities in and outside of school. Macie is a member of National Honor Society and is on the high honor roll, receiving academic letters and pins throughout her high school career. Macie has also received awards for art pieces which have been submitted to the Scholastics Art and Writing Show and received two Gold keys in her latest submission. Macie is a member of the Gillespie Lady Miner’s Softball Team receiving team and all conference/all state awards in her softball career. Macie is the Manager and Council Member of the Gillespie Yote’s Special Olympics Basketball, Track and Bowling Teams. Macie is also a council member of the Coal Mine Crazies. She works part-time at Brave Hazel in Carlinville. She also volunteers with the Macoupin Center for Developmentally Disabled and especially enjoys helping with camp each summer. Macie enjoys helping yearly with decorating the Macoupin County Courthouse for the holidays, as well as playing travel softball with Texas Glory STL Metro 25/26 during the high school off season. Macie is actively exploring colleges and hopes to play softball in college. Macie is focusing her career interests in the areas of business, art therapy, architecture and special education.
